BOARD MEETING SYNOPSIS
August 14, 2023
Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Supervisor Winn. Pledge of Allegiance recited. Members present: Parks, Winn & Wittstock – Klos & Christian were absent. July minutes approved. Treasurer’s report approved. Fire report: 18 runs last month, monies approved for new fuel tank for Rescue 1/new desktop and laptop/water softener (Senior Center/Fire Department), need to update National Fire Incident Reporting System (has not been done since 2018) to be able to apply for grants, need to set up a mutual aid package and working on setting up burn permits online. Planning Commission: nothing on the agenda, but answered questions from the audience; Rock Solid Landscape needs to submit their site plan. Senior report: regular activities attended and next potluck is 9/26; monies approved to remove shrubs and stone in front of Senior Center. Park report: Farmers Market is on Wednesdays with no charge to come and set up to sell your approved items. Discussed: Road assistance report is due 9/30, Metro Act Right of Way permit extension agreement to be signed, ditching projects approved, auditors granted a new 3-year contract and new playground equipment is being looked into for spring installation. Motion to pay the bills made and accepted. Motion to adjourn 8:30 p.m. A complete copy of the unapproved current minutes is available at the township hall during business hours and on the township website within a couple days of the meeting.
