ALMONT — Award winning quilter, Sherry Telling has donated a quilt to be raffled off by the Almont Community Historical Society. The quilt is a queen size and the pattern is called “Barn Raising”. This pattern was often used during the Civil War when quilts were raffled to support the troops. What cannot be seen in the photograph is the extensive, intricate stitching on the quilt. It is an outstanding quilt.

Tickets are one for $2.00, three for $5.00, seven for $10.00 or 20 for $20.00. Tickets are available at the museum on Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m. and at the Heritage Festival, September 15 and 16. Drawing will be at the museum on the 16th.
