AMENDMENT
An ordinance to amend the Village of Almont Planning Commission Ordinance 180, dated April 7, 2009, pursuant to Michigan Public Act 22 of 2008 to amend Section 6., Removal for Cause, Section 9. Statutory and Ordinance Authority, and Section 10. By-Laws and Records
THE VILLAGE OF ALMONT ORDAINS:
Section 6. Removal for Cause shall be changed to add the following: If during their term, a qualified elector member of the Planning Commission ceases to be a qualified elector, the member shall no longer be eligible to serve for the remainder of said term.
Section 9. Statutory and Ordinance Authority Part g. shall be changed to the following: Prepare By-Laws for the Planning Commission to be submitted and approved by the Village Council.
Section 10. By-Laws and Records shall be changed to the following: The Planning Commission shall prepare By-Laws for transaction of business to be submitted and approved by the Village Council. The Commission shall also keep a record of its resolutions, findings, and determinations, all of which shall be public record.
The undersigned President and Clerk of the Village of Almont hereby certify that this ordinance was presented for first reading at a Regular Meeting of the Almont Village Council held on the 15th day of August, 2023, and was published in the Tri-City Times on the 23rd of August, 2023.
