Andrew Duke, Sr., of Allenton, MI passed away July 21, 2022, in Clinton Twp., MI. Born in Detroit to William and Bridget (Fagan) Duke in 1926. Married to Elizabeth (Rivard) Duke until her passing in 2007. Andrew enlisted into and proudly served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a railroad worker for 42 years. He enjoyed attending his grand children’s activities and many sports, especially golf.
Andrew is survived by children Cassandra (John) Austin, Timothy (Betty) Peters, Andrew (Jamie), John (Diana), William (Kim) and Daniel (Janis) Duke. Grandchildren Katie, Benjamin, John, Christopher, Mason, Jilian, Regan, Julie and Jason. Brother-in-law Ronald Fecteau (now deceased).
Preceded in death by wife Elizabeth, son Gregory (Peggy) Peters, grandchildren Shelly and Joshua, parents William and Bridget, sisters Ellen (Bill) Petrie, Marie (John) Michelini, Elizabeth (Ronald) Fecteau, brothers John and William (Carol) Duke, brothers-in-law Bill Petrie and John Michelini.
Andrew was cremated by Muir Brothers of Almont. Due to covid, memorial was delayed. The family is gathering in August for a memorial with Father Mike of St. John’s Church of Allenton doing the grave site blessing.
