ALMONT — The Almont boys’ soccer team kicked off their season with an 8-3 win against visiting non-league counterpart New Haven last Wednesday afternoon.
In Wednesday’s matchup, Almont spotted New Haven a 1-0 edge at the half.
Almont then outscored New Haven 8-2 the rest of the way, pulling out an 8-3 victory.
Pjeter Lucaj (set up by Bashkim Sinistaj), Sinistaj (assisted by Gio Cardona), Owen Rayl (set up by Sinishtaj), Rayl (assisted by Cardona), Sean O’Neill (unassisted), Cardona (unassisted), Gabriel Nuculovic (set up by Sinashtaj) and Lucaj (assisted by Sinishtaj) provided Almont’s goals.
Bain Abitheira got the win in net for Almont. He was credited with 11 saves.
