Ronald Scott Hax, 76, of Richmond, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Wellbridge of Romeo.
He was born July 20, 1947, in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Ralph and Gertrude (Scott) Hax.
His marriage to Wilma Jean Peters was March 7, 1970, in Raywick, KY.
Ronald was a graduate of Lutheran High School East, Harper Woods. He then served our country in the United States Army from 1965-1969. Ronald continued to serve his local community working with the United States Post Office from 1980-2011. He finished out his career with the postal service as the Postmaster of Capac’s post office from 1991-2011. In his free time, Ronald was an avid reader. He enjoyed being on the computer and watching sports.
Surviving in addition to his wife Wilma of 53 years, are a daughter Kristen (Ken) Valyi-Hax of New Baltimore and a son, Michael (Caroline) of Richmond; as well as 13 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly VanKirk.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 14. Rev. Gerhardt Doroh officiated. Burial was in Richmond Cemetery, Richmond.
