Michael Duane Bovee, age 65 formerly of Oxford and recently of Imlay City passed away Monday, July 17, 2023, at McLaren Medical Center in Port Huron. He was born January 1, 1958, the son of Donald L. and Evelyn J. (Bluemer) Bovee in Pontiac. Michael graduated from Oxford in 1976 where he was very active in sports. He played football and basketball and Michael excelled in both. Michael worked several construction related jobs over the years. Michael liked the great outdoors, spending time hunting and fishing and just enjoying the sun on his face. His love for sports continued, being a fan of University of Michigan, the Tigers, Pistons and the Lions. More than anything Michael loved his children and grandchildren. He will be missed by many.

Michael is survived by his son Andy (Sarah) Bovee of Orlando, FL; daughters Stephanie (Sam) Bovee of Clinton Twp. and Alexis Bovee of Imlay City; grandsons Austin Carter and Ethan Bovee; sister Susan (Tony Watkins) Washington of The Villages, FL; stepfather Dallas Nolin and good friend, Paul Schester.

Michael is predeceased by his parents Donald and Evelyn and grandparents Fred and Elsie Bluemer and many aunts and uncles.

Michael will be cremated and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Burial will follow at East Lawn Cemetery, 1040 Orion Rd., Lake Orion, MI 48362.
