Carol Marie Sheets, age 70, passed away on August 10, 2023, surrounded by her beloved family. She was born November 2, 1952, in Detroit, the daughter of J.D. and Gladys (Mayne) Jones. Carol worked at Chrysler Sterling Heights Assembly Plant for over 25 years. She was an active member of the Almont Lions Club. Her hobbies included golfing, working in her flowerbeds, collecting rocks, and fishing. Carol enjoyed going to the family cabin with family and friends, and will be missed by many.
She is survived by her beloved daughters, Anya (Oliver) Kardos of Schenectady, NY, Dawn Schwartz of Utica and Michael (Mike) Sheets of Almont; loving grandchildren Samantha, Xavier, Ayden Zander, AvaMarie, Charli, Bryce, Quintin, Henrik and Harrison; and brother Del (Nadine) Jones of Traverse City.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gladys and JD Jones and daughter Tracey Schwartz.
The visitation will be held Saturday, August 19 from 1 a.m.-2 p.m. The Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2 p.m.
