CAPAC — Capac’s Izzy and Charlie Aldrich signed with their respective letters of intent to continue running at Goshen College (Goshen, Indiana) recently.
Izzy, a 2023 Capac High School graduate, has joined the school’s track program.
She is coming off an outstanding senior campaign which saw her generate a season’s best 1:03.7 clocking for third among 400 dash entrants at the Caro-based Thumb Meet of Champions on Tuesday, May 30.

Aldrich also took first at the Brown City-based Green Devil Invite; obtain a second at a Division 4 regional hosted by Brown City; register a third at the Brown City Invitational; supply a fifth at the Hatchet Invite in Bad Axe; plus provide a 22nd at the Hudsonville-based Division 4 state meet.
As a 200-meter dash competitor, Aldrich raced to a season’s best time of 28.02 seconds for third Friday, April 14 at the Brown City Invitational.
She also managed a first at the Harbor Beach-based Greater Thumb Conference East League Meet; took second at the Green Devil Invite in Brown City; wound up with fourths at the Reese Invite and Bad Axe-based Hatchet Invite; plus added a an eighth at the Thumb Meet of Champions in Caro.
Aldrich also excelled in the 100-meter dash, posting a season’s best clocking of 13.45 seconds for third at a Division 4 regional hosted by Brown City High School on Friday, May 19.
She also placed first at the Brown City-based Green Devil Invite and Greater Thumb Conference East League Meet in Harbor Beach; provided a second at the Reese Invite; ranked third at the Hatchet Invite in Bad Axe; plus generated a fourth at the Brown City Invitational.
Charlie, a transfer from Rochester College, will run for the Goshen College track and cross country teams
He brings with him solid credentials to the program as well. His best college track clockings were 24.43 seconds for 200 meters; 52.85 seconds for 400 meters; 1:11.55 for 500 meters; 1:27.11 for 600 meters; 1:56.4 for 800 meters; 4:16.9 for 1500 meters; and 5:09.37 for the mile.
In addition to that, Aldrich provided cross country best times of 30:31.2 over 5 miles and his quickest 8K race clocking was 31:02.3.
