TRI-CITY AREA — The Armada 12U softball team, which lists Imlay City’s Brooke Walls along with Almont’s Cora Wangler and Marie Wangler on its roster, brought home a number one showing at the NSA Northern World Series 12U C Tournament recently.
The tournament took place July 19-22 in Hammond, Indiana.
The team got their successful tournament run underway with a 5-1 win against Velocity and a 12-0 victory over KGSSL on Wednesday, July 19.
They then registered a 13-4 triumph Thursday, July 20 against Indiana Lightning plus provided an 11-1 win over Lady Crusaders and an 8-2 victory against BBYSL Blast on Friday, July 21.
Armada’s 12U softball team followed that up Saturday, July 22 with 8-2 and 5-1 triumphs against Velocity, assuring them of a number one finish.
They were joined on the championship squad’s roster by Armada’s Emma Adams, Grace Girvin, Peyton Beecher, Justine Lint, Ava Kuroski, Aubrey Garfat, Ava Ferrett, Courtney Krause and Addy Roose.
