Cecilia Josephine Miller, 92, of Attica MI, passed away at Serene Gardens Assisted Living of Imlay City, MI on Thursday, July 27, 2023. Cecilia was born on November 12, 1930, in Hazel Park, MI. She was the daughter of the late John and the late Josephine (Flajs’) Debenc. Cecilia grew up in Hazel Park, MI and was a graduate of Hazel Park High School. She married Ray Daily on September 16, 1950, at St. Rita church in Detroit, MI. Cecilia was preceded in death by Ray at a young age. She married Paul Harry Miller on November 27, 1954, in Imlay City, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Miller on October 9, 2014.
She was a devoted home maker. Cecilia was a city girl but she loved the farm life. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Imlay City, MI and was most proud to raise Christian kids. Her children are forever grateful for her and Paul’s efforts to lead them to know the Lord, Jesus Christ.
Cecilia is survived by three daughters, Lisa (Bill) Bublitz, Laura Erpelding, and Lynne (K.C.) Fitzpatrick; two sons, Alan Miller and Peter (Mary) Miller. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Jarrod, David, Ian, Boris, Alaina, Kyle, Terra, Ashley, and Nathan; great-grandchildren, Grace, Hannah, Blake, Dallas, Uma, Lila, Sunny, Amelia and Sloane; and her sister-in-law, Barbara (Bill) White.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Miller; her parents, John and Josephine Debenc; her granddaughter, Amber Erpelding; her grandson, Derrick Miller; and her son-in-law, Robert Erpelding.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Serene Gardens Assisted Living of Imlay City, MI for their care and kindness during Cecilia’s stay at their facility.
The funeral services was held at 12 p.m. on Monday, July 31, 2023, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. Pastor Brance Gillihan of the Antioch Reformed Baptist Church of Attica, MI officiated. Burial followed in Attica Township Cemetery, Attica, MI.
