Robert Hagstrom, age 72 of Imlay Township, MI, died Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at his home. Robert Francis Hagstrom was born April 7, 1951, in Detroit, MI. He is the son of the late Robert and the late Rosemary (O’Toole) Hagstrom. Robert grew up in Royal Oak, MI. He attended school at the Shrine of the Little Flower and is a graduate of Kimball High School. He married Deborah Dahl in Royal Oak, MI on February 3, 1978. Robert and Deborah have lived in the Imlay City area since 1991.
He was employed as a Sales Representative by E&R Industrial in Sterling Heights, MI before retiring. After retirement, Robert operated Sherwood Forest Farms Kennels which was built by their family in 1996. Sherwood Forest Farms opened up in 1997 and Robert loved caring for the kennel dogs. His children were his dogs (Finn, Max, Ruby and Celie), cats (Louie and Pearl) and horse (Logan).
He is survived and dearly missed by his wife, Deborah (Dahl) Hagstrom and her family; sister, Judy Blanchard and brothers, Gary, Terry and Rich.
A celebration of Robert’s life is being planned for the fall and friends, clientele and family will be notified.
Arrangements for Robert’s cremation were entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home, 225 N. Main Street, and Imlay City.
