ALMONT — Almont standouts Grace Koenig and Devin Johnston will suit up for the White team in the Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association Division 3 All-Star Game today (Wednesday, July 19).

Davenport University, in Grand Rapids, is where the action unfolds.

They are joined on the White team by Paige Thomas (Delton-Kellogg), Melea Gardner (Harrison), Allana Martinez (Gladstone), Ryleigh Yocum (Elk Rapids), Lexi Mielke (Standish), Reagann Merchant (Elk Rapids), Jordan Lyons (Delton-Kellogg), Abby Robinson (Shepherd), Brooke Meeker (Traverse City St. Francis), Liv Regenfus (Shepherd), Devri Jennings (Standish), Isabelle Hrabel (St. Louis) and Grace Simpson (Beaverston). They are coached by Phil Meeker (Traverse City St. Francis) and Dean Devries (Hart).

Kailey Tarte (Memphis), Patrina Marsh (Ottawa Lake Whiteford), Allie Hawkins (Kingsley), Ella Stephenson (Algonac), Emily Guthry (Grass Lake), Aly VanBrandt (Ottawa Lake Whiteford), Lillia Sherman (Millington), Emma Fair (Clinton), Zoey Bacon (Central Montcalm), Maddie Peterson (Blissfield), Lauren Hartman (Grayling), Jerzie VanOchten (Reese), Macy Verbeek (Calvin Christian), Addison Gray (Evart), Jacee Hoffman (Kent City) and Lauren Alexander (Central Montcalm) will represent the Red squad that day. They are coached by Amanda Brown (Evart) and Bruce Nicholson (Central Montcalm).

The first pitch is scheduled for 10 a.m.

Kevin Kissane has been covering high school sports for the Tri-City Times since 1985. When not standing on a field or court with his camera and notepad, he enjoys golf, travel and family. Kevin is a 1980 graduate of Capac High School, and is also a grad of St. Clair Community College and earned a degree in journalism from Central Michigan University.
