Heidi Lynn Jones, age 38, of Attica, MI, died Friday, July 7, 2023, in Fairfax, Virginia. Heidi Lynn Kreis was born September 6, 1984. in Lapeer, MI. She is the daughter of the late Garald and Loretta (Bissett) Kreis. She grew up in North Branch, MI and is a graduate of North Branch High School, Class of 2003. Heidi lived most of her life in the North Branch and Attica areas.
She married Jamal Anthony Jones on July 6, 2018, in Lapeer, Michigan. Heidi had been the Latch-Key Coordinator at Imlay City Community School and had worked at Toyo Seat in Imlay City and Vlasic Foods in Imlay City.
Heidi is survived by her husband, Jamal Jones of Attica, MI; daughters, Fatih Marie Belisle, Grace Lynn Belisle and Taylor Cheri Jones; her mother Loretta( John ) Thurlow of North Branch; sisters, Dianna (Austin) Warren of Alpena, MI and Jennifer (Bret) Vasquez of Keego Harbor, MI; her brothers, John (Andrea) Thurlow of Lapeer, MI, Ben (Amanda) Kreis of Attica, MI and Christopher Thurlow of Detroit, MI; grandmother, Roma Kreis of Lapeer, MI; her father-in-law, William Jones of Solon, OH; and her sister-in-law, Shikira (Milton) Woods. Also surviving are two nephews and seven nieces.
Heidi was preceded in death by her father, Gary Kreis and mother-in-law, Boni Cheri Jones.
The Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 5622 N. Summers Rd., North Branch, MI. The Rev. Fr. Sama Muma will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, North Branch, MI.
The family will be available for visitation 10-11 a.m., Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI.
