BOARD MEETING SYNOPSIS
July 10, 2023
Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Supervisor Winn. Pledge of Allegiance recited. Members present: Parks, Klos, Winn, Christian & Wittstock. June minutes approved. Treasurer’s report approved. Fire report: May/June run sheets turned in, Jaison Baron offered Deputy Chief position and Dean Kirkum hired as Fire Chief; budget adjusted and burn permits changed to expire end of day each Monday. Planning Commission: Dead End Pheasant Farm license renewed. Senior report: regular activities attended and next potluck is 7/25. Park report: Farmers Market is on Wednesdays with no charge to come and set up to sell your approved items. Discussed: Nickel & Saph re-hired as insurance agents, noise complaints from residents (gunshots mostly- a letter will be drawn up and used), cemetery lot sales billing/invoicing will be adjusted, looking for a new ordinance enforcement officer and ARPA funds distribution. Audience: questions about a vacant home, Fire Department budgeting and seal on Capac Road discussed. Motion to pay the bills made and accepted. Motion to adjourn 8:40 p.m. A complete copy of the unapproved current minutes is available at the township hall during business hours and on the township website within a couple days of the meeting.
