IMLAY CITY — The Imlay City Strikes 15U team claimed a first-place showing at the Alysha Rahn Memorial Softball Tournament it hosted last Friday through Sunday.
Imlay City Strikes got their title-producing run underway Friday with a 16-4 win against Dodgers.
Saturday’s play saw them drop an 11-10 verdict to Lapeer Lightning 14U and post an 10-1 victory over Imlay City All-Stars.
The following day they prevailed again, this time registering a 5-4 triumph against Imlay City All-Stars.
They then met Lapeer Lightning 14U for tournament honors next. Their confrontation drew to a close with Imlay City Strikes ahead 12-3.
Haidyn Maier, Ava Nadrowski, Jayden Chandler, Melina Campbell, Jordyn Chandler, Bella Claeys, Jenna Hill, Faith Schriber, Sara Kabelman, Stephanie Kabelman and Grace Garcia comprised the championship team.
