IMLAY CITY — Imlay City’s 10U squad went 3-2 en route to a first-place finish at the Alysha Rahn Memorial Tournament it hosted last weekend.

They opened tournament action Saturday with an 11-1 loss to Freedom Fastpitch. That was followed by an 8-3 setback to Armada Tigers and a 3-2 win against Armada Cheetahs.

Those outcomes left Imlay City 1-2 at the completion of pool play.

Imlay City then beat Armada Tigers 3-2 in Sunday’s semifinal clash.

That meant they would face Armada Cheetahs for tournament honors next.

When the final scores were added up, Imlay City had registered a 4-3 triumph.

Nevada Eads, Alexa Sutton, Mallory Newell, Mia Debczak, Addison Tangey, Autumn Fox, Sarah Dinsmore, Laila Diaz, Gentry Smith, Shelby Batchelder, Kenley Prendergast and Meredith Koues helped make Imlay City’s first-place finish possible.
