CAPAC — Capac’s 8U team earned a first-place showing at the Alysha Rahn Memorial Softball Tournament last Friday through Sunday in Imlay City,

The team began their title-producing path Friday with an 8-0 win against Imlay City.

Saturday’s action saw them pick up a 9-1 victory over Almont and register an 18-4 triumph against Standish.

Capac then followed it up Sunday with a 10-1 semifinal win over Imlay City.

They then squared off versus Almont for tournament honors next. That clash wrapped up with Capac holding a 18-6 advantage.

Payton Vamvas, Avery Engberg, Presley Stroup, Aurora Walker, Amelia Moten, Aubrey McConnell, Leilani Bruce, Taylor Tomlinson, Evelyn Mandeville, Olive Erwin and Lucy Hollis helped make Capac’s number one finish possible.
