Beth Marie Wojcik, age 58, of Imlay City, MI, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at Imlay City, MI. She passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Beth was born February 16, 1965 in Detroit, MI to Ronald and Geraldine (Grimshaw) Wojcik. Beth grew up in Imlay City and graduated from Imlay City High School, Class of 1983.
Beth was baptized and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Imlay City with her family. When Beth and Jeff were visiting family, they would attend Foundation Church in Woodruff, Wisconsin. They would often ‘stream’ the Foundation’s church services while they were here in Michigan.
Beth worked as a drafting designer for General Motors and as a kitchen designer for Handyman’s in Lapeer, MI. She also worked at the Country Market and the Country Smokehouse. Beth continued her career working side by side with her partner, Jeff, building custom staircases.
Beth enjoyed spending time with her family and friends on their beautiful front porch, tending to her flowers and plants, and exploring auctions, Goodwill stores, and garage sales for those unique finds to add to her extensive collections.
Family gatherings always included her famous taco dip, along with a never ending game of acey-deucy!
Beth is survived by her partner of 18 years, Jeffrey Roszczewski, MI of Imlay City, MI; her daughter, Paige Karinen of Imlay City, MI; her son, Nathan Karinen of Detroit, MI; and her extended family, Libby (Justin) Barian of Wisconsin, Tori (Eric) Carlson of Wisconsin, and Trevor Roszczewski of Wisconsin. She was “Grandma Beth” to Bently, Sophia, and Maddy.
Beth is also survived by her sisters, Andrea (Tim) Wilcox of Rockford, Alabama, Peggy (Greg) Roszczewski of Asheville, North Carolina; brothers, Ronald (Susan) Wojcik of Royal Oak, MI and Michael (Donalle) Wojcik of Almont, MI; her Arizona sisters, Leah VanPoelvoorde and Erin Denette; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Beth was preceded in death by: her parents, Ron and Geraldine Wojcik; her step-mother, Peggy ‘Corki’ Wojcik; and her sisters, Patti Morawski, Nancy Stoddard, and Lori Ferrett.
She was loved by all that knew her.
A graveside memorial service is planned for 11 a.m., Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Imlay Township Cemetery, Fairgrounds Road, Imlay City, MI. A celebration of Beth’s life will follow.
Arrangements for Beth’s cremation were entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI.
