NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT
On June 13, 2023 the Township Board of the Township of Goodland, Lapeer County, MI adopted an amendment of the Goodland Township Zoning Ordinance to regulate Utility Grid Wind Energy Systems and Anemometer Towers, regulating the setback distances between wind turbines and adjacent properties, establishing sound pressure levels, providing for the abandonment and removal of Utility Grid Wind Energy Systems and Anemometer Towers, establishing criteria for evaluating shadow flicker, providing for financial guarantees by energy system owners for decommissioning of systems and repealing any and all ordinances and/or resolutions in conflict therewith. The Ordinance Amendment shall become effective seven (7) days after the date of this publication. A copy of the Zoning Ordinance Amendment may be purchased or inspected during regular business hours at the Goodland Township’s Clerk’s Office located at 2374 N. Van Dyke, Imlay City, MI 48444. A copy of the Amendment is also available for inspection on the Goodland Township website at goodland@bigtube.net.
