Dear Editor:

The Almont Community Historical Society is beginning the process of cleaning and rearranging the museum. As part of the rearranging, we are making improvements to the display fixtures and signage of the displays.

After the Museum’s anniversary celebration on the 24th, we will begin inventorying the collection. As a result of the cleaning, rearranging, and inventorying, sections of the museum will–of necessity–be messy. We apologize, in advance, for the condition the museum will be in during these processes.

We will still be open and attempt to limit the mess. We urge you to still come and take advantage of the experience of visiting the museum.

One of the first items we moved was the collection of Almont Community School yearbooks. We have a number of the yearbooks, but also missing many of the more recent yearbooks. Anyone who has a yearbook which they would like to donate can drop it off at the museum on Saturdays. Below is a list of the years for which we do not have yearbooks:

1975 thru 1980
1984 thru 2001
2013 thru 2017
