Curtis Homer, age 23, of Imlay City (recently of Lansing), Michigan died Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in Lansing, MI. Curtis James Homer was born September 20, 1999 in Mt. Clemens, MI. He is the son of the late James Homer and Shawn (Panduren) Kinna. Curtis grew up in Imlay City, MI. He is a graduate of Imlay City High School, Class of 2018. While in high school, Curtis excelled in basketball and football. Curtis recently moved to continue his education at Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI.
He was fond of traveling and went to Europe twice. Curtis liked hanging out with his friends and playing sports. He studied foreign languages and tended to be a foodie. Curtis was an old soul. He enjoyed meeting new people and hearing their stories. He made a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Curtis is survived by his mother, Shawn (Lane Colby) Kinna of Sandusky, MI; siblings, Jeremy (Sarah) Homer of Attica, MI, John Treutle of Almont, MI, Brandon (Sierra) Panduren of Wilsonville, Oregon, Jordan Treutle of Bath, MI, Benjamin Homer of Bath, MI, Emma Kinna of Sandusky, MI, and Jackson Lacey; his grandparents, Linda (Don) Miller and JoAnn Panduren; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends he considered family.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Homer; and his grandparents, Jim and Dorothy Homer and Richard Panduren.
A memorial service will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Gateway Assembly Church, 2796 S. Van Dyke Rd., Imlay City, MI. Steve Krist and David Krist, pastors of Gateway Assembly Church, will officiate.
The family will be available for visitation 10 a.m.-12 p.m., Saturday, June 24 before the service at Gateway Assembly Church.
