Dear Editor,
The golf scramble known as Weapons of Grass Destruction was a great success enticing players to fly or drive in from the Upper Peninsula, Florida, and Washington. The event was held at Belle River Golf Course in Memphis, MI which is owned and managed by Capac alumni, which extends the community and fun was had by all. The turnout and funds raised exceeded expectations and ensures the ability to continue the scholarship and expand the ability to support local students.
The scholarship is awarded to a student who is committed to community and personal improvement and can be used for certification programs as well as more traditional post secondary education paths.
