CAPAC — Capac put up a good fight, only to drop a 6-3 verdict to Brown City in a Division 4 regional semifinal softball confrontation last Saturday.

Kingston High School is where the action unfolded.

With the decision, Capac sees an outstanding 23-12 season draw to a close.

In Saturday’s semifinal, Capac and Brown City ended the first inning scoreless.

Inning number two concluded with  Brown City up by a 4-2 count.

The third and fourth innings would see the score stay the same.

Brown City then struck with a 1-0 fifth inning edge and a 1-0 sixth inning advantage, increasing their cushion to 6-2 at the time.

Capac countered with a 1-0 seventh inning edge, only to fall 6-3 when the final scores were added up.

Julia Schaefer (a single, a double, a stolen base and one run scored) paced Capac’s offensive attack. Annabelle Schneider (an inside the park homer, one RBI and two runs scored), Madalyn Roberson (a single and two RBI) and Chloe Schocke (a single) supported her performance.
