Dear Editor,
My family has owned a burial plot in the Ferguson Cemetery for nearly 100 years. My grandmother was buried there in 1930.
My grandparents, my parents and my wife are also buried in the family plot.
I have never seen the cemetery in such poor condition. The grass is unkept and left long around the headstones.
The mausoleum is missing the back door and is littered with bottles and cans. The waste barrels are overfilled.
If the cemetery board is unable to do their jobs, they should resign and be replaced.
The present cemetery board is a disgrace to Almont.
Sincerely,
— David C Burley, D.D.S.
