CAPAC — The Capac varsity softball team defeated visiting Peck twice in a non-league doubleheader last Wednesday.
In the opener, Capac registered a 5-3 triumph against Peck.
Jewel Rickman (three singles), Madalyn Roberson and Chloe Schocke (a single and a double each) plus Robin Owens (a single) provided Capac’s hits.
Roberson was the winning Capac pitcher. She allowed four hits, struck out 13 and walked one.
In the second contest, Capac picked up a 15-7 victory over Peck.
Schaefer (four singles), Roberson (two singles and a double), Paige Hansen (a single and a home run), Skielar Tesnow and Annabelle Schneider (two singles apiece) plus Rachael Mirling, Schocke and Rickman (a single each) contributed Capac’s hits.
Tesnow and Roberson shared the pitching responsibilities for Capac. They gave up seven total hits, struck out nine and walked four.
