Vendors also sought for 2023 Imlay City Summer Fest

IMLAY CITY — Unload your returnable cans and help create a memorable fireworks show at this year’s Imlay City Summer Fest.

The Imlay City Area Chamber of Commerce is collecting the returnables to raise funds for the show. Chamber Director Chris Bishop says the Chamber hopes to raise $2,500 and that community members will help get there.

“We’re on our way to achieving our goal,” Bishop says. “Residents are welcome to drop off their cans at Backyard Creations during store hours.”

Pick up is available for larger donations—four or more garbage bags within a five-mile radius of downtown Imlay City, Bishop adds, noting that smaller donations of one garbage bag may also request pick up within the Imlay City limits.

Backyard Creations & More is located in the Goodwill/Family Dollar Plaza at the corner of M-53 and old M-21. The store is open Wednesday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m.
