DRYDEN — The Dryden girls’ track squad earned a second-place finish last Saturday at a regional it hosted.

Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest (133 points) took team honors that day. They were followed by Dryden (116 points), Auburn Hills Oakland Christian (57), Sterling Heights Parkway (45), Mt. Clemens, Genesee and International Academy of Flint (41 each), Marine City Cardinal Mooney and Austin Catholic (33 apiece), Clarkston Everest Collegiate (24), Birmingham Roeper (20) along with Flint Beecher and Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes (three apiece).

The top-two placewinners in each event plus anyone who equals or bests a state set time, height or distance advances to the Division 4 state finals June 3 in Hudsonville.

Addie Tresnak, shot put, 32 feet 5 inches; Sophia Peter, 100 hurdles, 17.08 seconds; and Olivia Stickler, 400-meter dash, 1:01.78; led Dryden with individual event firsts.

The Dryden 800 relay of Delaney Wolle, Keira Miller, Peter and Stickler took first as well. They were timed in 1:51.67.

Tresnak, high jump, 4 feet 5 inches; Ava DeVlaminck, discus, 82 feet 9 inches; and Peter, 300 hurdles, 49.68 seconds; furnished Dryden’s seconds.

Stickler, 100-meter dash, 13.13 seconds; gave Dryden an individual event third. Her effort proved swift enough to advance to upcoming state meet time-wise.

Lily Finnigan, discus, 81 feet 7 inches; also managed a third.

The 1600 (Wolle, Peter, Miller and Stickler) and 3200-meter (Cara Prusakiewicz, Audrey Napolitano, DeVlaminck and Finnigan) relays gave Dryden thirds as well. They were timed in 4:32.86 and 12:14.54, respectively.

Miller, long jump, 13 feet 6 inches; and Pruskakiewicz, 3200 run, 13:25.57; supplied Dryden with fourths.

Caila Fitchett, 300-meter hurdles, 55.48 seconds; secured the lone Dryden fifth.

Wolle, 200 dash, 28.85 seconds; and Lucia Munoz Rodriguez, 400-meter dash, 1:09.47; generated Dryden’s sixths.

Tresnak, long jump, 12 feet 1 3/4 inches; Prusakiewicz, 1600 run, 6:13.89; and Napolitano, 3200-meter run, 14:19.39; had Dryden’s sevenths. Dryden also received eighths from DeVlaminck, shot put, 25 feet 3 3/4 inches; and Fitchett, 100 dash, 14.05 seconds.
