TRI-CITY AREA — Almont tied host Imlay City, 4-4, in a Blue Water Area Conference girls’ tennis encounter Monday.
In individual action, Andrea Frederick fell by a 4-6, 2-6 top flight count to Emma Keeping; Bella Moussiaux dropped a 6-7, 0-6 verdict to Hannah Sapp at second singles; Lauren Culver fell by a 4-6, 6-3, 4-6 third flight count to Drew Wetzel; and Gabriella Ujkic dropped a 1-6, 1-6 verdict to Hanna Frederiksson at fourth singles.
As far as doubles play was concerned, Hylie Goldstein and Autumn Bletch earned a 6-2, 6-4 top flight win against Aubrey Sommer and Elizabeth Lauwers; Avis Schapman and Natalie Frederick picked up a 7-6, 3-6, 6-2 victory over Alexa Lengemann and Addison Cameron at second doubles; Genesis Fisher and Sidni Brinker took the third flight by default; plus Camilla Gonzalez and Kathryn Burley registered a 6-0, 6-0 triumph against Julia Metter and Morgan Vermeesch at fourth doubles.
