IMLAY CITY — The Imlay City varsity softball team was downed twice by North Branch in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity softball doubleheader it hosted last Wednesday.
In the opener, North Branch obtained a 10-0 win against Imlay City.
Reese Schmidt (a single) supplied the lone Imlay City basehit.
In the second game, North Branch secured a 13-5 victory over Imlay City.
Yesenia Rojas paced Imlay City with three singles. The Spartans also had Natalie Stone (a single and a double), Chloe Bruman and Makayla Bruman (a single apiece) along with Brie Hund and Schmidt (a single each) reach the hitting column.
