ALMONT — Reis Stine, a 2021 graduate of Almont High School, belted his first collegiate home run in Cleary University’s 6-5 victory over Concordia University’s baseball team last Thursday.
Down 5-3 with runners aboard first and second during inning number seven, Stine connected on pitch for a three-run homer. There were two out at the time.
That staked Cleary University to a 6-5 edge at the time.
Neither side would score over the remaining two innings of play, leaving Cleary University with a 6-5 victory to celebrate at day’s end.
In addition to his game-winning home run, Stine also contributed a pair of walks to Cleary University’s cause.
