TRI-CITY AREA — The Rochester University softball team, which counts Almont’s Sarah Hall and Imlay City’s Jaya Forti among their ranks, lost by respective scores of 9-0 and 7-0 to host and Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference rival Aquinas College on Sunday, March 26.

Gainey Athletic Complex, in Grand Rapids, is where the doubleheader was contested.

In the opener, Aquinas College took advantage of a two-run first inning; a one-run second; a three-run third; and a three-run fourth to prevail.

Hall, a freshman, paced Rochester College’s offensive attack with a two for two effort.

In the second game, Aquinas College used a two-run second inning; a two-run third; a one-run fourth; and a two-run fifth to emerge victorious.

Forti, a freshman, and Hall contributed matching one for three plate performances for Rochester College.
