ALMONT — The Almont boys’ track squad claimed five top-ten finishes last Thursday at the SVSU Division 3/4 Indoor Invite.
No team scores were kept at the meet.
Chase Battani, pole vault, 12 feet 6 inches; led Almont with a third.
Matthew Bacholzky, long jump (18 feet 10 inches) and 400 dash (54.44 seconds); gave Almont a pair of fifths.
Bacholzky, 200-meter dash, 24.56 seconds; and Wade Szydlowski, 400 dash, 55.98 seconds; provided Almont with 10ths.
The Almont 1200-meter relay of Cole Walton, Carson Wood, Brendan Cynowa and Szydlowski were 15th in 2:46.01.
Wood, long jump, 15 feet 11 inches; managed a 23rd for Almont.
Luke Loomis, 60 hurdles, 11.42 seconds, 24th; Tim Miller, 200 dash, 25.79 seconds, 27th; Chase Jones, 60-meter hurdles, 12.32 seconds, 28th; Cynowa, 60-meter dash, 7.98 seconds, 29th; Gavin Campbell, 800 run, 2:33.78, 31st; Dustin Claeys, shot put, 31 feet 11 3/4 inches, 38th; Alex Heiden, 800-meter run, 2:40.82, 41st; and Braedon Carlson, shot put, 30 feet 1 1/2 inches, 46th; added top-50 showings to Almont’s cause.
