TRI-CITY AREA — From their first game in December until the last contest in March, these competitors set the standard for excellence with their respective court accomplishments.

Here is a look at the 2022-23 edition of the Tri-City Times All-Area boys’ basketball team and the numbers they generated along the way:

Clay Roszczewski, Almont.

Roszczewski generated 441 points over 23 games, leaving himself with a Tri-City Area best average of 19.2 points per contest, this winter.

His point total established a single season scoring record for Almont, eclipsing the old mark of 414 set by Larry Kersten during the 1956-57 campaign.

Roszczewski also grabbed 116 rebounds and contributed 38 steals to Almont’s cause.

This was his third year on Almont’s varsity.

The 6-4 senior guard/forward concluded the season as an All-Blue Water Area Conference first team selection.

Jacob Burgess, Dryden.

Burgess amassed 364 points over 24 games, an average of 15.2 points per contest, during the 2022-23 campaign.

That placed him first on the Dryden squad and second among Tri-City Times All-Area first team honorees.

The 6-2 junior guard also handed off 99 assists, grabbed 98 rebounds and registered 66 steals.

This was his third year on Dryden’s varsity.

He ended the 2022-23 campaign as an All-North Central Thumb League Stars Division first team choice.

Zander Nash, Imlay City.

Nash provided 306 points in 24 games, an average of 12.8 points per contest this season.

That left him first on the Imlay City squad and third among Tri-City Times All-Area first team honorees.

The 6-6 sophomore guard/forward also pulled down 144 rebounds, handed off 74 assists and made 25 steals.

This was his second year on Imlay City’s varsity.

Nash finished the season as an All-Blue Water Area Conference second team pick.

Beau Hund, Imlay City.

Hund managed 294 points over 24 contests, an average of 12.4 points per game, during the 2022-23 campaign.

That placed hin second on the Imlay City squad and fourth among Tri-City Times All-Area first team honorees.

He also pulled down 134 rebounds, handed off 53 assists and contributed 49 steals to Imlay City’s cause.

This was his third year on Imlay City’s varsity.

The 6-1 senior guard wrapped up the year on the All-Blue Water Area Conference Defensive Team and was an All-Blue Water Area Conference second team selection.

Dylan Ledford, Dryden.

Ledford wound up with 276 points in 23 games, an average of 12.0 points per contest, this season.

That left him second on the Dryden squad and fifth out of those who achieved Tri-City Times All-Area first team accolades.

The 6-3 senior forward also pulled down 209 rebounds and registered 66 steals.

This was his third year on Dryden’s varsity.

Ledford completed the season as an All-North Central Thumb League Stars Division second team pick.

Marko Radisavljevic, Almont.

Radisavljevic amassed 255 points over 22 contests, an average of 11.6 points per game, during the 2022-23 campaign.

That placed him second on the Almont squad and sixth among Tri-City Times All-Area first team honorees.

He also grabbed 95 rebounds, handed off 74 assists and registered 37 steals.

This was his second year on Almont’s varsity.

The 5-10 junior guard ended the season as an All-Blue Water Area Conference second team choice.

Wyatt Hurley, Capac.

Hurley netted 244 points in 23 games, an average of 10.6 points per contest, this season.

That left him first on the Capac squad and seventh out of those who achieved Tri-City Times All-Area first team accolades.

He also contributed 154 rebounds to Capac’s cause.

This was his third year on Capac’s varsity.

The 6-4 junior center finished the season as an All-Greater Thumb Conference second team selection.

Second team– Alan Uribe Arce, Capac; Sonny Coscione, Dryden; Jaylin Taylor, Dryden; JD Trout, Imlay City; Cole Walton, Almont; Cameron Bourdeau, Almont; Greg Pawlaczyk, Imlay City; and Carlos Uribe Arce, Capac.

Honorable mention– Nolan Maday, Capac; Matt Evans, Imlay City; and Will Keesler, Imlay City.

Coach of the Year– For directing Dryden to a 14-10 overall and an 8-2 NCTL Stars Division standing (good for second place), John DelCampo earns Tri-City Times All-Area Coach of the Year accolades.
