TRI-CITY AREA — If you’re seeking employment locally, don’t miss the Lapeer County Job Fair slated for Thursday, April 20 at the Lapeer County Ed Tech Center.
From 2-4 p.m. representatives from a wide variety of businesses will be on hand to take applications, answer questions and more.
Hosted and organized by the Lapeer County Ed Tech Center, the job fair offers opportunities in the skilled trades, healthcare, military, manufacturing, retail, education and more.
Job seekers will be able to meet local employers, share their resumes and apply for jobs.
This is the second year the Ed Tech center has arranged the job fair, says Nancy Boxey, executive director of the Lapeer County Community Foundation; a major sponsor for the event.
“Last year was sold out for employers,” Boxey says. “The first two hours are designed for students to look at internship or job opportunities in their future careers. The second half—from 2-4 p.m.—is set up for public. Job seekers can see the need for employees and diversity of jobs—good paying jobs—that are out there right here in the area.”
Along with LCCF, the Job Fair is sponsored by the Tri-City Times, View Newspaper Group, abc12, Four County Community Foundation, Lapeer Development Corporation, Lapeer County Intermediate School District and DTE.
The Lapeer County Ed Tech Center is located at 690 N. Lake Pleasant Road in Attica.
