TRI-CITY AREA —From the opening game until the last, these competitors let their accomplishments speak for itself.
Here is a look at the 2022-23 edition of the Tri-City Times All-Area girls’ basketball lineup and the numbers they generated en route to that recognition:
Lexa Forti, Imlay City.
Forti amassed 231 points over 17 contests, giving her a Tri-City best output of 13.6 points per game, during the 2022-23 campaign.
The 5-7 junior guard also contributed 73 steals, pulled down 48 rebounds and handed off 45 assists.
This was her third year on Imlay City’s varsity.
Forti concluded the 2022-23 campaign as an All-Blue Water Area Conference first team selection.

Jessica Peters, Dryden.
Peters managed 241 points in 21 games, an average of 11.5 points per contest, this season.
That left her first on the Dryden squad and second out of those who achieved Tri-City Times All-Area first team accolades.
This was the second year on Dryden’s varsity for Peters, a 5-3 senior guard.
Lily Lengemann, Imlay City.
Lengemann supplied 209 points in 21 games, an average of 10.0 points per contest, this season.
That left her second on the Imlay City squad and third out of those who achieved Tri-City Times All-Area first team accolades.
The 5-6 senior guard also handed off 78 assists, grabbed 72 rebounds and collected 55 steals.
This was her fourth year on Imlay City’s varsity.
Lengemann completed the season as an All-Blue Water Area Conference first team selection.
Lucia Munoz Rodriguez, Dryden.
The exchange student hailing from Spain provided Dryden with 183 points over 19 contests, an average of 9.6 points per game, during the 2022-23 campaign.
That placed the junior second on the Dryden squad and fourth among Tri-City Times All-Area first team honorees.
This was the first year on Dryden’s varsity for the 5-6 junior guard.
Jesse Kautz, Almont.
Kautz supplied 188 points over 23 contests, an average of 8.2 points per game, during the 2022-23 campaign.
That placed her first on the Almont squad and fifth among Tri-City Times All-Area first team honorees.
She also pulled down 100 rebounds, registered 62 steals and handed off 37 assists.
This was her first year on Almont’s varsity.
The 5-8 junior guard completed the 2022-23 campaign as an All-Blue Water Area Conference Defensive team selection.
Grace Koenig, Almont.
Koenig wound up with 185 points in 23 games, an average of 8.0 points per contest, this season.
That left her second on the Almont squad and sixth among Tri-City Times All-Area first team honorees.
She also grabbed 138 rebounds, made 56 steals and handed off 47 assists.
This was her third year on Almont’s varsity.
The 5-8 senior guard concluded the year as an All-Blue Water Area Conference second team selection.
Kendall Roszczewski, Almont.
Roszczewski provided 183 points over 23 contests, an average of 8.0 points per game, this season.
That placed her third on the Almont squad and seventh among Tri-City Times All-Area first team honorees.
She also pulled down 134 rebounds, contributed 41 steals and handed off 12 assists.
This was her fourth year on Almont’s varsity.
The 5-9 senior forward finished the season as an All-Blue Water Area Conference second team choice.
Chloe Bruman, Imlay City.
Bruman accumulated 157 points over 23 contests, an average of 6.8 points per game, during the 2022-23 campaign.
That placed her third on the Imlay City team and eighth among Tri-City Times All-Area second team honorees.
She also grabbed 77 rebounds, collected 74 steals and handed off 47 assists.
This was her first year on Imlay City’s varsity.
The 5-8 sophomore guard ended the year as an All-Blue Water Area Conference honorable mention pick.
Second team– Keira Miller, Dryden; Ava Panduren, Almont; Julia Schaefer, Capac; Lydia LaCavera, Almont; and Natalie Stone, Imlay City.
Honorable mention– Nevaeh Mason, Capac; Chloe Schocke, Capac; Lauren Abromaitis, Dryden; Rilynn Lindsay, Dryden; Olivia Stickler, Dryden; and Makayla Phillips, Capac.
Coach of the Year– For directing Imlay City to a 17-6 overall mark and an 11-3 Blue Water Area Conference standing (good for second place), Bill Lengemann nets Tri-City Times All-Area Coach of the Year accolades.
