Dear Editor,
“Back by popular demand” is what we are hearing as we prepare for Attica Days 2023.
Last July visitors enjoyed what was a monumental festival by small town standards, which is what Attica is, with roughly 4000 residents.
Though it’s a small town, the Attica Days festival consistently draws big crowds, with Saturday being the most busy. Last year, the festival drew just about the same number of visitors as residents!
Where can you ride a bungee jump, romp on massive inflatables and climb a rock wall for just $10, all day Saturday. Plus kids 3 and under are free—a wonderful thing.
This summer will bring back some well known favorites such as 3rd Degree Burns, the Eagles beer garden, Seven Ponds Astronomy Group, and more on Friday, plus the famous Spaghetti Supper at the Attica Fire Hall, served up by some of the hottest men you know (no pun intended).
In addition there will be entertainment on the outdoor stage as well, (we welcome all to get up there and perform). Once again the indoor and outdoor craft and vendor show will be part of the event. Those seeking indoor vendor space are encouraged to complete an application as soon as possible.
Of course Saturday brings back a new and better petting zoo, and thanks to the hard workers at the Ruth Hughes Library there will be a ‘Kids Central’ tent. Volunteers interested in helping are encouraged to call.
Once again Attica Days will have the popular car and motorcycle show on Saturday along with the tented breakfast, sponsored by the delightful Men’s Group from Attica United Methodist Church.
Don’t forget the fan favorite…fireworks at dusk on Saturday night.
Stage acts are always welcome, as are food vendors. Stay tuned for updates and surprises. For more info you can go to atticadays.org.
All vendor applications may be found on the website, or in the entryway at the Attica Township Hall. For specific food and other vendor information call Diana at 810-417-1629. For other inquiries please call Cindy at 810-412-8339.
Thank you
