Merry Williams, born July 21, 1951, peacefully went to be with the Lord, March 11, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was happily married to Stanley (Stan) Williams. Merry was a graduate of Rochester High School, Class of 1968.
Merry was the daughter of the late Wallace Chamberlin and Evelyn (Tubbs) Chamberlin. She grew up on the family farm with her seven brothers and sisters. Shortly after graduating high school, Merry married her husband of 54 years. Merry and Stan resided in Allenton, on their small family farm where they raised their three children, Tony Williams of Almont, Stanley (Tina) Williams of Emmett and Casey Williams of North Branch.
She lived her life for her family, keeping actively involved in her children’s lives. Merry loved being a part of their horse careers and supporting them while they competed in the Michigan 4-H Rodeo Association. She enjoyed sewing their clothes as well as adopting her 4-H members. Merry was a leader of the Jodhpurs N Jeans 4-H Club for upwards of 35 years. She was passionate about her horses as well as teaching others. Merry was most proud of her nine grandchildren, Nikki Williams, Brent Williams, Alyssa Williams, Cody (Megan) Williams, Christina Williams, Coy Hansen, Wyatt (Kayla) Hansen, Colten Hansen and Wyley Hansen; and her four great-grandchildren, Serena Williams, Chase Hansen, Koe Hansen and Ayla Williams.
Merry was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Evelyn Chamberlin; and son-in-law, Steve Hansen.
The funeral will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. Rob Howland will officiate.
The family will be available for visitation 2-6 p.m., Wednesday, March 15 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City.
