TRI-CITY AREA — A popular event is making a grand return to this year’s Imlay City Summer Fest.
Plans for the Little Miss Imlay City and Jr. Miss Imlay City pageant are underway. Girls ages 5-8 are encouraged to sign up now to compete for the Little Miss crown, while girls ages 9-13 are invited to try for the Jr. Miss honors. Winners will be given a special spot in the Imlay City Summer Fest parade.
The pageant will be held May 6 at 6 p.m. at Imlay City High School.
A special sign up event is slated for Saturday, March 25 from 4-6 p.m. at Backyard Creations, 593 N. Cedar St. (M-53) in Imlay City. Interested parties are encouraged to attend the event. Those unable to attend can sign up by calling 810-656-7826 through March 25.
Dancers and choreographers interested in lending a hand teaching dance moves and helping choreograph are encouraged to call the number above, as are past Little Miss Blueberry contestants and winners are also encouraged to call to serve as judges for the event.
The Imlay City Summer Fest will take place in August.
