IMLAY CITY — Imlay City fell three points short when the final buzzer sounded, dropping a 43-40 verdict to Yale in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity girls’ district basketball semifinal contest last Wednesday night.
With the result, Imlay City sees a 17-6 season reach an endpoint.
Lily Lengemann led Imlay City with a 26-point performance. The Spartans also had Chloe Bruman and Brie Hund (six points each) and Alexa Lengemann (two) reach the scoring column.
Natalie Stone and Chloe Bruman added six rebounds apiece to Imlay City’s cause.
