ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Capac Community Schools will receive sealed proposals for construction trade work from qualified Bidders for 2023 H.S. Gym Wood Floor Replacement Project at the Capac Administration Office – 541 N. Glassford Street, Capac, MI 48014.
Proposals may be mailed or delivered in person to Capac Community Schools – Administration Building, 541 N. Glassford Street, Capac, MI 48014 Proposals are due prior to 2:00 p.m. (local time) on Friday, March 10, 2023.
Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:05 p.m. in the Administration Offices – 541 N. Glassford Street Capac, MI 48014. All proposals received after 2:00 p.m. of the due date will neither be considered nor accepted and will be returned to the Bidder unopened.
All proposals shall be submitted on the proposal forms provided in the Construction Project Manual section 00305, completely filled in, and executed (copies of the bid forms are acceptable). Facsimile, electronic mail or telephone proposals will not be accepted.
A Mandatory Pre-Bid Site Visit will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Capac High School 541 N. Glassford Street Capac, MI.
The Owner will award contract(s) on or about the 15th of March 2023.

Proposals may not be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the due date. Successful Bidders will be required to furnish both a Labor and Material Payment Bond, and a Performance Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of its contract amount as stated in the Construction Project Manual section 00600.

All Proposals:
A Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of Base Bid shall accompany ALL proposals or proposal combinations; refer to the Construction Project Manual section 00410 for more information.
A sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the owner(s) of, or any employee of, the Bidder and any member of the Board of Education or the Superintendent shall accompany ALL proposals. The owner will not accept a proposal that does not include a sworn and notarized familial relationship disclosure statement. Please see the Construction Project Manual section 00307 for the form to use with your proposal.
A sworn and notarized Affidavit of Compliance for the Iran Economic Sanctions Act certifying the contractor does and will comply with Public Act 517 of 2012 shall accompany ALL proposals. The owner will not accept a proposal that does not include a sworn and notarized Affidavit of Compliance for the Iran Economic Sanctions Act. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to accept a proposal other than the lowest proposal, and to waive informalities, irregularities, and/or errors in any proposal, which it determines to be in its own best interest.THIS IS A NON-PREVAILING WAGE PROJECT Separate Proposals will be received for the following Bid Categories: Gymnasium Wood Floor Replacement
