ALMONT — The Almont varsity girls’ basketball team closed out their BWAC and regular season schedules with a 54-37 win against visiting Algonac last Saturday afternoon.

With the decision, Almont goes to 12-10 and 7-7.

In Saturday’s clash, Almont took a 12-11 edge after one quarter was done and made it 24-20 at the half.

Almont then outscored Algonac 30-17 the rest of the way, closing out a 54-37 win.

Jesse Kautz (17 points, including three trifectas) and Kendall Roszczewski (11) proved Almont’s toughest players to stop. They were backed by Ava Panduren (nine points), Grace Koenig (eight), Allison Williams (five) and Lydia LaCavera (four).
