IMLAY CITY —The Imlay City wrestling team will be represented by five competitors March 3-4 at the Division 3 individual state finals in Detroit.
They advanced with top-four weight class placings last Saturday at a Richmond-based regional.
Anthony D’Ambrosio led Imlay City with a first. D’Ambrosio ended his stint at 150 pounds with a 2-1 championship bout win against Yale’s Jeremy Griffith.
Latham Perry provided Imlay City with a second. Perry reached the 215-pound title clash where he fell 5-3 to Richmond’s Eddie Olson.
Dominic D’Ambrosio contributed a third for Imlay City. D’Ambrosio wrapped up his stint at 132 pounds when he pinned Algonac Alex Bright with 2:19 gone.
Tanner Land and Christopher Galiana added fourths to Imlay City’s cause. The former finished 113-pound action when he was pinned by Algonac’s Chris Campbell with 4:49 elapsed and the latter ended his stint at 120 pounds when he was handed a 10-0 setback by Algonac’s Lucky Gartin.
