The Berlin Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at 740 Capac Road, Allenton, MI 48002. The purpose of the public hearing is to collect input on a proposed special land use permit for an ~33 acre wetlands mitigation bank at 74-09-028-2003-010, a parcel on the east side of Howell Road 0.5 miles north of Hough Road. The applicant proposes to construct, operate, and monitor a wetlands bank in accordance with Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy’s rules regarding approved recreated wetlands for development offset.
Copies of the application are available for inspection at Township Hall during business hours and will be available at the public hearing. Written comments may be submitted up until the beginning of the hearing.
