CAPAC — The Capac wrestling team will send three wrestlers on to this Saturday’s Division 4 individual regional in Hudson.
Those grapplers earned the right to compete there with top-four weight class finishes last Saturday at a Manchester-based district.
Tyler McKenney and Derek Mason led Capac with seconds. McKenney reached the title encounter at 106 pounds where he was pinned by Manchester’s Onyx Ostrom with 4:19 gone and Mason advanced to the 138-pound championship bout where he dropped a 10-4 verdict to Manchester’s Blake Sloan.
John Schoen added a third to Capac’s cause. He closed out a successful day on the mats with a forfeit win against Whitmore Lake’s Hayden Barrett at 157 pounds.
