CAPAC — The Capac varsity boys’ basketball team was handed a 57-35 setback by visiting Harbor Beach in a Greater Thumb Conference game last Friday night.

With the result, Capac slips to 7-12 and 3-7.

In Friday’s game, Harbor Beach opened up a 16-11 edge after one quarter was complete.

The middle two quarters saw Harbor Beach net 27 total points and Capac manage 19, leaving them ahead 43-30 with 24 minutes gone.

Harbor Beach then outscored Capac 14-5 the rest of the way, closing out a 57-35 win.

For Capac, Wyatt Hurley led the way with 13 points. He was backed by Carlos Uribe Arce (nine points, including a trifecta), Nolan Maday (eight), Conner Clark and Alan Uribe Arce (two each) along with Wiley Roose (one).
