Leo Baker, age 78, formerly of Imlay City, MI; now of Sevierville, TN, died Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center of Knoxville, TN. Leo Joseph Baker was born January 14, 1945 in Detroit, MI. He was the son of the late Frank and the late Catherine (Stris) Baker. Leo grew up in Imlay City, MI. He was a graduate of Imlay City High School, Class of 1963.

Leo had worked for 30-plus years as a custodian for Chrysler Motors Corporation at the Sterling Heights Stamping Plant. Leo had lived for 24 years in Ray Township, Michigan and several years in Almont, Michigan before moving to Sevierville, TN in 2013. Leo enjoyed golfing, bowling, and finding special collectables at flea markets and yard sales.

Leo is survived by his daughters, Heather Baker of Imlay City and Bryanna (Kyle Cicchini) Baker of Bruce Township, MI; brothers, Richard (Linda) Baker of Imlay City, MI and Ronald Baker of Imlay City, MI.

Leo was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Catherine Baker; a son, James Gordon Baker; a daughter, Catherine Virginia Baker; brothers and sisters, Tony Nicosia, Frances Wojcik, Eileen Piazza and Mildred Mair.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, February 10, 2023 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. Reverend Father Noel Cornelio, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in Imlay Township Cemetery, Imlay City.

The family will be available for visitation 2-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, February 9, 2023 and from 10-11:30 a.m. Friday, February 10, 2023 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City.
