
Imlay City’s Alyssa Evans fires up a shot in Friday’s clash against Richmond.
IMLAY CITY — Imlay City rolled past visiting Richmond, 54-20, in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity girls’ basketball matchup last Friday night.
With the final, Imlay City goes to 13-4 and 8-2.
In Friday’s matchup, Imlay City grabbed a 5-2 edge after one quarter was done and increased their cushion to 23-10 by halftime.
The third quarter would see Imlay City continue to pull away. It was there the Spartans outscored Richmond 19-8, widening the gap to 42-18.
Imlay City then outscored Richmond 12-2 the rest of the way, prevailing 54-20 at night’s end.
Chloe Bruman led Imlay City with 15 points that evening. She was backed by Makayla Bruman (12 points), Brie Hund (eight points), Lily Lengemann (six), Alexa Lengemann (four), Hannah Carney (three) along with Natalie Stone, Lexa Forti and Alyssa Evans (two apiece).
