Fundraiser begins Wednesday, Feb. 1st

IMLAY CITY — Are you looking for some great deals on some equally great items?

If so, pay a visit this week (Feb. 1-8) to Imlay City’s Ruth Hughes Memorial District Library, where library staff is hosting its annual auction fundraiser

Auction coordinator Cynthia Stroebel says some great items have been donated and are going up for bids throughout the week.

“We’re going to have a lot of exciting new items at this year’s auction,” Stroebel said. “We encourage library regulars and the greater community to stop by and place your bids.”

Stroebel reminded that the success of the auction is vital to maintaining and sustaining optimum services and programs to the community.

The Ruth Hughes Memorial District Library is located at 211 N. Almont Ave. in downtown Imlay City.

Tom Wearing started at the Tri-City Times in 1989, covering the Village of Capac as a beat reporter. He later served stints as assistant editor and editor.
