Imlay City’s Latham Perry seizes command of his match at the Carrollton Tournament last Saturday.

IMLAY CITY — The Imlay City wrestling team obtained a first-place finish last Saturday at the Carrollton Tournament.

Imlay City began their title-producing path with a 72-12 win against Carrollton. That was followed by a 72-10 victory over Essexville Garber; a 63-15 triumph against Cass City; a 70-6 win over John Glenn’s ‘B’ team; and a 44-30 victory against Swan Valley.

Tanner Land (113), Christopher Galiana (120), Julian Rojas (126), Dominic D’Ambrosio (132) and Anthony D’Ambrosio (157) led Imlay City with 5-0 marks.

Conner Wildie (138), Jacob Koralewski (144/150), Travis Dupont (144/150), Brady Redd (165), George Antos (190) and Latham Perry (215/285) put together 4-1 records for Imlay City.

Brady Vanderploeg (175) contributed a 3-2 mark to Imlay City’s cause.

Imlay City also received a 2-2 record courtesy of Matthew Vermeesch (285).
